About
I'm a Boston-based cinematographer working on documentaries (for television and festivals), promotional videos for non-profits and commercial projects. My work has taken me to South Sudan, Thailand, Ireland, Costa Rica and across the United States and has varied from very small crew documentary projects, to television shows, to high end commercial projects. I love listening and helping communicate stories in real time from behind the lens in fast-paced verité films as well as shaping every light source to bring out subtleties in an interview background. I care deeply about creating imagery that supports the story.
Recent documentary camera credits include: “Zora Neale Hurston: Claiming a Space” (American Experience 2023), “The Philadelphia Eleven” (Festivals, Theatrical, PBS 2025), “Runner” (Festivals, 2020), “Frederick Douglass in Five Speeches” (HBO 2022), “Crisis on Campus” (Frontline/PBS 2024), “This Is A Robbery” (Netflix, 2021), “Trial 4” (Netflix, 2020), “Councilwoman” (America Re-Framed, PBS, 2019), “Flint’s Deadly Water” (Frontline, 2019), “Jason Aldean” (Breaking Big, PBS 2018), “Seeing Eyes/Feeling Heart” (American Masters, 2018), “Addiction” (NOVA, 2018).
Before becoming a Director of Photography, my background was in post-production including editing the short documentary film Only One Boss (festivals), and being the Associate Producer on A Life Among Whales (PBS 2005). I have also been incredibly fortunate to work with and learn from incredibly skilled editors, directors, and directors of photography.
An incomplete list of my credits is available here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3468419/
I graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University in 2002 with a B.S. in Television, Radio & Film Production.
